Where to Start...
Firstly, with our snap off OMP steering Wheel. This has also been mounted on a steering boss, meaning the steering wheel has now been brought 60mm closer to the driver. The quick release will help getting in and out of the car when the seat is fitted, as it will be bolted to the floor, not on runners. The wheel being closer to the driver will prove for a better 'racing position'
Now the seat rails have been welded in. Holes can be drilled, and the interior sprayed. We placed the seat in position. We measured, checked, rechecked, remeasured. Literally spending a good 30 mins checking we were happy with the seating position. We only had one chance at drilling the holes.
Once we were happy that the seat was in place. it was a case of someone sitting in the driver seat, while another person used a permenant marker through the mounting holes to mark on the bottom of the seat rail. Holes could then be drilled
Interior was then sprayed.
Before the Driver seat was fitted, we moved the fuel flap release to just behind the driver seat.
Seat and harnesses fitted
Then of course, we needed a tax disc...
