AF Racing have now stripped and inspected the bottom part of the engine. Some rather interesting things were found !!3 of the Big End caps had been put on the wrong way roundThe Tomei pistons were the wrong size for the bores and were wearing. Sides of the pistons were actually hitting the sides of the bores on all 6 cylinders.
We were also told the head had been ported and that ARP Head bolts had been used, which was not the case.
Not det on the pistons though which was a good sign.Pictures below show the evidence...The block is going to have to be sent away to be crack tested and rebored, probably to 86.5mm
