Well, AF Racing set the car up well, plenty of confidence behind the wheel during warm up, not really pushing the car too hard as it was a very hot day.
Coming in at the end of the warm up session on the cool down lap, the engine started to make a 'clack', 'clack', 'clack', 'clack', 'clack' noise at camshaft speed.
Initial inspection reaveals that the lobes have been worn off the inlet camshafts on piston number 6 ???
We will perform a leak down test, compression test, examine the oil, change the camshafts and and any of the cam followers which are worn, and see if that solves the problem.
