Alex and Will at AF Racing have been busy measuring the clearances on all of the valves, compression and a leak down test.
Some clearances were quite far out. According to the book, they should be
Inlet - 0.45mm Exhuast - 0.38mm
| | Inlet | Exhaust | Leak Down | Compression | | Piston 1 | 1 | 0.381 | 0.457 | 10% | 135psi | | Piston 1 | 2 | 0.457 | 0.559 | | | | Piston 2 | 1 | 0.457 | 0.457 | 12.5% | 140psi | | Piston 2 | 2 | 0.485 | 0.483 | | | | Piston 3 | 1 | 0.406 | 0.483 | 10% | 140psi | | Piston 3 | 2 | 0.533 | 0.406 | | | | Piston 4 | 1 | 0.610 | 0.559 | 10% | 155psi | | Piston 4 | 2 | 0.610 | 0.457 | | | | Piston 5 | 1 | 0.559 | 0.356 | 10% | 145psi | | Piston 5 | 2 | 0.559 | 0.356 | | | | Piston 6 | 1 | 0.584 | 0.406 | 12.5% | 125psi | | Piston 6 | 2 | 0.508 | 0.508 | | |
Some of the leakage and compression figures can be put down to the incorrect tolerances, for example the camshaft lobes on Piston 6 are very worn
